lynn + joel I part 1

this wedding was very special to me because lynn + joel are very dear friends. i was so excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding but even more when lynn told me it was going to be a destination wedding. she was looking at lots of different locations but decided on folly beach, sc. some of my favorite photographers shoot in this area and i was so excited to shoot my very own southern wedding! i’ll be posting their wedding in 3 parts …. i’ll start with the getting ready part of the day. it all started with great light and a beautiful home they rented for the week!
i also wanted to thank jennel for coming out and 2nd shooting with me!

oh my gosh!!! Carmen these pictures are amazing!!!! Lynn you are such a gorgeous bride.

sorry for the break in blogging but i just got back from a much needed two week family vacation in florida. it was so wonderful spending quality time with the kids but now it’s time to get back to work. i’m finally posting this sweet, sweet newborn session. these guys live in the coolest loft … i loved the exposed brick and huge windows. great for any session. annabelle was a doll and mom & dad are so smitten with their little girl. congratulations and thanks for your patience. enjoy!

That last one – phenomenal!!!!! Hope you enjoyed your vaca – we need to catch up!

sweet lily

this little one definitely put me to work that morning. lily has the most beautiful blue eyes and i was determined to capture them but as most one year olds … she was on the move. in her mind she wanted to explore the world! at the end of the session we let her splash around in the water at shafer park. she was in one year old heaven!

tim + lindsey

tim + lindsey got married on a beautiful, sunny day in dayton, ohio. it was a bit windy that afternoon but it made for the perfect breeze during the formals. these two were so laid back and were such a pleasure to work with … including their incredibly fun wedding party. everything went without a hitch! i truly enjoyed the opportunity to photograph this wedding.

the girls started the day out at centerville’s square one salon . such a great salon and the staff was wonderful. i love spending this time with the bride and bridesmaids and getting to know them better. i got to hear about how these girls are old soccer buddies and one of them actually referred me to lindsey. i had photographed one of her friends a couple years ago. word of mouth is so powerful!

in the meantime the boys got ready at the church ….

their first sight moment …

i love lindsey’s expression here …

still playing some with the tilt shift …

their grand exit!!

the reception was a blast …. the toasts were so funny and incredibly touching. i definitely had tears in the eyes. the party definitely was a hit. i loved watching everyone dance the night away. it was obvious everyone had the most amazing time!

the phillips family

this was  the dream family session with a senior session squeezed in the middle of their oldest son. who looks like a calvin klein model … what an easy job i have!  this family was so amazing. i had such a blast with them …. running all over their property and hanging with the kids.  i just fell in love with each and every one of them.  thank you for having me to your beautiful home. the experience was so lovely. can’t wait to see you all again!
