i was so excited to photograph this engagement session because i was dying to meet lance. i had heard so much about him from many different people and josyln is so incredibly sweet .... that i knew he had to be an amazing guy! i'm also thrilled to be shooting their wedding because we're going down to orlando, florida later this summer for the big event. i get to shoot their wedding at can you guess? ..... Disney World! thanks for a fun e-session and i can't wait to see you both again!

i love e-sessions, especially when the couples are as cool as these two. hanging with tim and lindsey reminded me of life before marriage and kids. they are so active and do some fun stuff like hang out at the bookstore, run, rock climb, go biking, and camping together. things i would love to do but can't find time to do anymore. you can tell they are both really fit and seriously i may start running again after following lindsey's tweets. she's an avid runner and is really inspiring me even though she doesn't know it yet. thanks for such a fun session. see you soon!

i'm so excited to finally be posting a session on my new blog. i drove out to miami university for this e-session because that's where chandra and eric met. i've learned that they have a name for these types of unions ... "miami mergers". it's always fun to shoot outside my area and especially a place that has so much meaning to a couple. these two drove up from nashville and i think it was well worth it. the session was a ton of fun and it was great to finally meet them. i can't wait for their wedding! chandra's a teacher and i had some chalk in the car ... so i thought this would be cute! during the shoot ... classes got out and suddenly the campus was full of people. it was fun to take a quick shot of them in their own little world as the rest of the world passed by. chandra has the greatest personality. she's so happy and positive. she's going to be a dream to photograph on her wedding day. they say if you kiss at midnight under this light you'll get married. so of course i'm sure this image is done often by many engaged couples who have their engagement sessions done at miami. i myself have been asked to do this before with nick + caitlin back when we did their e-session. if you look to the right of chandra + eric there is this cute older couple walking arm and arm. there's something so sweet about them and i didn't even notice it when i took this shot. on the outskirts of campus you were back to midwest ohio and farmland. i had noticed this barn on the way into town and when chandra said she had brought her cowboy boots, i just had to take them there.
