i was so honored when melanie mauer one of my favorite photographers and friend asked me to photograph her family.  she has a classic and timeless style and i couldn't wait to go down to lexington, kentucky for the shoot.  i was even more excited when melanie said she booked me and my family a stay at shaker village.  the landscape could not have been more perfect. check out their website because this place is such a gem. melanie tells me ... it's one of martha stewart's favorite places to stay and i can see why.

it was so nice to finally meet melanie's husband jason, her mom and her adorable little girl!

i've been photographing these adorable boys for the last few years and they never let me down. this time was so special because i got to photograph their new baby sister elizabeth. this was one the best sessions i've had in my studio. i couldn't believe how amazing they all behaved. i wish my boys would be so into having their picture taken. thanks for such a fun afternoon and some great images!
