spring has been here for some time i could say. we have spent a lot of this season enjoying some serious rain! many of our baseball games have been cancelled and some will never be re-scheduled. we spent one of the last games of the season realizing summer is almost upon us. these little muddy feet were so happy to be out doing what boys do best. it was so nice to be out enjoying a day at the baseball field! i hardly took any photos this season but here's one that grabbed my eye. hope everyone is enjoying the last two gorgeous days we have so longed for ...

in between the rain yesterday, we stopped for ice cream with the boys! we cannot wait for warmer and sunny days to be here for good. the boys are patiently awaiting for summer to arrive.

hope everyone is enjoying this relaxing easter sunday! we went to florida for spring break and now i'm catching up on the laundry and getting ready for the week. i just made the yummiest snack. i'm a huge fan of gwyneth paltrow and most everything she does .... so of course i picked up her new cookbook. so far i've only made this avocado treat but it was so yummy. be back soon with a few seniors and engagement sessions i'm dying to share :)

ruffle cake obsession

i've been obsessed with this martha stewart ruffle cake ever since i saw it on pinterest. i realized that with four boys i probably wouldn't be making this sweet, pink, ruffle of joy anytime soon. however, i found a really good excuse ... my neighbor patty's birthday. ok, so i ran out of frosting and the 2nd batch wasn't quite the same but there's always next time. it was good practice and i really had fun making it anyway. of course patty, my other neighbor lynda and the boys loved it! happy birthday patty, we love you :)
